R2W 2008: Day 3 - blogs from 3 new R2W participants 3 days in

Day 3 = as most of you know we went on that hike… and I tell you it was a JOURNEY! Mind, body and strength. It was great going up as a group … it made me realize I’m not alone. We prayed to the east, west, north and south facing each direction as a whole...one mind and body. Well it’s great so far and I’m glad to have come… I know it’s worth the 2 weeks but I know it’ll feel like years. I say years because most people take a whole year to bond like how we are...we’ll are family already! =)

Hey!!! If you want to know what I am feeling right now, I feel like im at a place where all the prejudice, the taboo, the B.S. of the world DON’T APPLY! I'm so happy, I don’t want to leave but as a child of god we mustn’t be greedy with information. Information that makes you drop a bad habit, change your look on life, and the way you used to view your life STORY. Here it don’t matter if you were rich, poor, a broken soul, just as long as you are able to tell your story. I finally know that my story, or testimony is what will save lives, and that’s how I was able to love, communicate, with complete strangers! In one day, I feel in love with 25 strangers. They made my heart hum, they made my souls release all the forgotten anger, and made me see how lucky I am to even be here! Well I got to go because there are others who wana tell their story! So peace, love, and represent to the world why God put you on this planet. So toodles! I LOVE YOU!!

It’s only Day 3 of R2W and it feels like we’ve known one other our whole lives. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I got off the plane. But as we talked together, we learned that we have more similarities than differences. You share your deep personal struggles with these complete strangers knowing that they do understand. I’m very excited to be here and can’t wait to see what the next two weeks have in store.
